SOFT99 Glaco Ultra Fusso Windshield Coating 70ml

Help rain bead up and roll away with SOFT99 Glaco Ultra Fusso, a durable windshield coating powered by fluoropolymer technology. This hydrophobic glass treatment creates a water-repellent barrier that helps improve visibility in wet weather and offers up to 12 months of protection with proper preparation and application.

Designed to withstand wiper friction, dust, car washing and detergents, Ultra Glaco is a practical choice for drivers who want lasting windshield water repellency with fewer applications. Its integrated felt applicator makes it easy to spread the coating evenly without a separate applicator pad.

Why choose Glaco Ultra Fusso?

  • Long-lasting protection: Up to one year of water repellency; actual durability varies with use and conditions.

  • Rain-repellent performance: Encourages water to form beads that move off the glass as airflow increases.

  • Easy application: Built-in felt applicator for controlled, even coverage.

  • Easier maintenance: Helps reduce dirt adhesion and makes insect residue easier to clean.

  • Multiple treatments per bottle: The 70ml bottle treats approximately five average-sized windshields, depending on application and glass size.

How to apply SOFT99 Glaco Ultra

  1. Clean and prepare the glass. Wash away dirt, then remove traffic film and previous aftermarket coatings with a suitable glass preparation product, such as SOFT99 Glaco Glass Compound Roll On. Rinse away preparation residue and dry thoroughly. Proper preparation helps the coating bond evenly.

  2. Dispense onto the applicator. Remove the cap, place the felt against the glass and gently squeeze the bottle to release a small amount.

  3. Apply evenly. Rub the product firmly across the glass, covering the entire treatment area without leaving gaps.

  4. Wait 5–10 minutes. Allow the coating to dry before removing the residue.

  5. Buff clear. Following the English-package directions, remove residue with a clean, damp towel that has been thoroughly wrung out. If your bottle specifies a dry towel, follow that instruction.

  6. Keep dry for at least 12 hours. Protect the treated glass from rain, washing, washer fluid and other moisture during curing.

Frequently asked questions

How long does Glaco Ultra last?
SOFT99 rates its water repellency at up to 12 months. Glass preparation, driving conditions, wiper use and maintenance affect the actual lifespan. Reapply when water repellency noticeably declines.

At what speed does rain start moving off the windshield?
SOFT99 lists approximately 45–60 km/h as the range where airflow can help carry water away. Results vary with rainfall, vehicle aerodynamics and windshield angle. Continue using your wipers whenever needed for clear visibility.

Is this a ceramic glass coating?
Ultra Glaco uses SOFT99’s Fusso fluoropolymer technology. It is a dedicated water-repellent glass coating, rather than a conventional ceramic coating.

Can I apply it over an existing windshield coating?
Remove an old aftermarket coating and traffic film before application. Do not apply over factory-treated or specially coated glass without confirming compatibility with the glass manufacturer.

Can I use it on helmet visors, acrylic or plastic headlights?
No. Ultra Glaco is intended for glass. SOFT99 advises against using it on transparent plastics, helmet visors, goggles or interior glass surfaces.

Can I use it on side mirrors?
SOFT99 recommends Glaco Mirror Coat Zero for side mirrors. Check compatibility before treating mirrors with existing coatings or special surface treatments.

What should I do if the finish looks uneven?
For uneven application patches, SOFT99 recommends applying a little more product to the affected area and wiping it off immediately. If persistent glare develops from traffic film or a deteriorated coating, remove it with a suitable compound-based glass cleaner, then prepare and recoat. Restore clear visibility before driving.

How should I clean the windshield afterward?
Use a clean, well-wrung damp towel or a compatible cleaner such as SOFT99 Glaco Glass Cleaner. Avoid washer fluids designed to strip oil or traffic film. Choose a coating-compatible washer fluid with suitable freeze protection for your climate.

  1. Remove the cap, press the felt applicator onto the glass, and gently squeeze the bottle to dispense the liquid.
  2. Use the felt applicator to rub the liquid firmly into the glass, ensuring complete coverage.
  3. After allowing it to dry for 5-10 minutes, wipe off the residue with a damp, wrung-out towel.
  4. Keep the surface dry for 12 hours for maximum effect and durability.

If you've allowed the product to sit for too long, the haze can be slightly difficult to remove. Use a damp towel that's well wrung out to gently remove the haze, and follow up with a dry towel. Alternatively, use more Glaco solution to soften the haze and wipe it off right away with a dry towel.

Yes and no. While SOFT99 suggests against it, we have had success applying it on plexiglass before. Ensure to wipe it off sooner and not let a full haze form. It still works fine, but product adhesion may not be as optimal.

Durability is one of them. Other than Glaco Q can be used to clean and coat at the same time.
