Clean thoroughly, removing old dressings and contamination. Allow textured surfaces and crevices to dry fully.
Use a compatible preparation step such as Q²M Prep where directed, then observe the coating’s waiting period.
Apply evenly with a suitable applicator, working on one small trim section at a time.
Level the product to a uniform finish. Follow the supplied manual’s surface-specific wipe-off instructions; smooth and absorbent textured materials can behave differently.
Inspect adjacent paint for accidental transfer and keep the coating dry for at least the first 12 hours. Follow the supplied manual for full aftercare.
Application Tips and Things to Watch For
Do not promise the same restoration on every faded plastic. Severe oxidation, staining and physical damage may remain visible after coating. Applying more product is not a repair for a degraded surface.
The product is sometimes described as a permanent trim restorer, but its stated service life is finite and depends on exposure and maintenance. For renovated lights, use only on an appropriate, clear-coated surface according to the instructions; the coating does not replace the entire headlight-restoration process.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can Trim EVO be used on new trim?
Yes. It can protect compatible new plastics as well as enhance suitable faded trim. Starting with a clean, residue-free surface remains essential.
Will it make the trim glossy?
The intended result is matte or satin, with increased colour depth. Material porosity and the original finish influence the appearance, so test before treating a highly visible area.
Can it repair white stains or deeply damaged plastic?
It may improve colour saturation, but it cannot reverse every chemical stain, crack or structural change. Assess a test section once it has settled before committing to the whole part.
How is it different from Preserve?
Preserve is a simpler trim dressing and maintenance protectant. Trim EVO is a ceramic treatment with more demanding preparation and a longer stated service life.
How should I maintain it?
Wash with a suitable maintenance shampoo and avoid unnecessary harsh cleaning. Additional dressings are not required to maintain the intended coated finish.
On textured plastics: Deep clean with GYEON Vinyl Cleaner, followed by a final wipe down with Prep. Apply Trim and allow the product to dry without wiping it off. If you observe any unevenness, level it while the coating is still wet.
On smooth plastics like headlights and taillights: Apply in a manner similar to a paint coating, but instead of letting the product set for 3-5 minutes, wipe it off within 30 seconds.

All EVO coatings guarantee ease of application and boast up to 50% more durability and resistance in everyday use.
All GYEON coatings can be applied outdoors. Ensure stable conditions, never use in direct sunlight and check the weather forecast!
Whether it's textured plastics, clear, or piano black finishes, GYEON Trim will do the trick. Given that piano black trims are soft and prone to scratches, it's advisable to apply two coats of Trim to minimize marring and scratches.
GYEON Trim FAQs
Trim will last at least a year and up to two years, depending on the number of coats you apply.
On textured plastics, do not wipe it off; let it dry to a nice rich satin finish on its own.
On clear and smooth plastics, wipe off within 30 seconds.
Layering time is between 1 to 4 hours, and full curing occurs within 48 hours. You can take the vehicle out after 12 hours.
If you have a Jeep Wrangler with numerous plastics, a 30ml bottle can cover approximately five Wranglers; the small bottle goes a long way.
It can be applied using an airbrush for high-complexity areas such as engine bay.
The vehicle can be driven the next day, or approximately 12 hours later. It is advisable to avoid exposing the coating to water within the first 24 hours.
A temperature of at least 10°C is recommended, although you can still attempt the application between 5°C to 10°C if necessary. If the temperature reaches 30°C, then it's on the warmer side, and you will need to retreat into the shade.
Either maintain with GYEON WetCoat or Bathe+; both products can be used as often as you like.
You won't encounter high spots on textured plastics. If, during application, you notice mild streaks, simply apply another layer to even it out.
On smooth glossy plastics: If you catch the high spots within 30 minutes, you can use the coating itself again to level/soften the high spots. If it's been a few days, then you'll need to mechanically polish it off or use Gyeon Total Remover to remove and reapply coating on the affected area.
Officially, Gyeon recommends the product to be used within 2 to 3 years when new. If the bottle has been opened, it's best to use up the product in 1 to 2 months to preserve the coating's maximum effectiveness.

GYEON Trim cannot be applied to interiors such as dashboards; however, it is suitable for use on door kick plates. Different materials have different porosity levels, and plastic surfaces in vehicle interiors are far more porous than exterior plastics. Trim can only be applied to exterior hard plastics.
