It is common to observe fading or discoloration of automotive finishing materials under the influence of UV radiation and strong chemicals used in car washes. Q² Trim preserves the long-lasting, supreme effect of color saturation, ensuring a matte or satin finish of materials. Even after 12 months, the effect of color saturation does not diminish, often surpassing the durability of traditional products.
The significant difference between Q² Trim and various other trim restoring products lies in its pure SiO₂ base. On textured plastics: Deep clean with GYEON Vinyl Cleaner, followed by a final wipe down with Prep. Apply Trim and allow the product to dry without wiping it off. If you observe any unevenness, level it while the coating is still wet.
On smooth plastics like headlights and taillights: Apply in a manner similar to a paint coating, but instead of letting the product set for 3-5 minutes, wipe it off within 30 seconds.

All GYEON coatings can be applied outdoors. Ensure stable conditions, never use in direct sunlight and check the weather forecast!
Whether it's textured plastics, clear, or piano black finishes, GYEON Trim will do the trick. Given that piano black trims are soft and prone to scratches, it's advisable to apply two coats of Trim to minimize marring and scratches.
GYEON Trim FAQs
Trim will last at least a year and up to two years, depending on the number of coats you apply.
On textured plastics, do not wipe it off; let it dry to a nice rich satin finish on its own.
On clear and smooth plastics, wipe off within 30 seconds.
Layering time is between 1 to 4 hours, and full curing occurs within 48 hours. You can take the vehicle out after 12 hours.
If you have a Jeep Wrangler with numerous plastics, a 30ml bottle can cover approximately five Wranglers; the small bottle goes a long way.
It can be applied using an airbrush for high-complexity areas such as engine bay.
The vehicle can be driven the next day, or approximately 12 hours later. It is advisable to avoid exposing the coating to water within the first 24 hours.
A temperature of at least 10°C is recommended, although you can still attempt the application between 5°C to 10°C if necessary. If the temperature reaches 30°C, then it's on the warmer side, and you will need to retreat into the shade.
Either maintain with GYEON WetCoat or Bathe+; both products can be used as often as you like.
You won't encounter high spots on textured plastics. If, during application, you notice mild streaks, simply apply another layer to even it out.
On smooth glossy plastics: If you catch the high spots within 30 minutes, you can use the coating itself again to level/soften the high spots. If it's been a few days, then you'll need to mechanically polish it off or use Gyeon Total Remover to remove and reapply coating on the affected area.
Officially, Gyeon recommends the product to be used within 2 to 3 years when new. If the bottle has been opened, it's best to use up the product in 1 to 2 months to preserve the coating's maximum effectiveness.

GYEON Trim cannot be applied to interiors such as dashboards; however, it is suitable for use on door kick plates. Different materials have different porosity levels, and plastic surfaces in vehicle interiors are far more porous than exterior plastics. Trim can only be applied to exterior hard plastics.
