Surface preparation is absolutely crucial; never skip the process with Q²M GlassPolish, which should be regarded as both a cleaner and a bonding agent. The expected durability of Q² Repel EVO will never be achieved without the correct preparation.
TIP:I prefer using Q²M GlassPolish with a machine, employing a Q²M Polish Pad at low revs. Once a light film of residue is left, wipe it off with Q²M Prep. Avoid overapplication. Apply as much Q² Repel EVO as possible in a circular motion. Repeat the process to create a thicker layer, especially on the windscreen. Remove the residue with a damp cloth.

Application Tips and Things to Watch For
Use the instructions supplied with this Canadian-market kit; application details from older or other-market View versions may differ. Work on cool glass in good lighting and remove all residue before driving.
A rain-repellent coating supplements functioning wipers and washer fluid. Continue using them whenever needed for a clear view. Do not use an exterior glass coating on interior surfaces, camera lenses or plastic glazing unless that application is explicitly approved.

Why is GlassPolish included?
Glass preparation is central to coating performance. GYEON specifies GlassPolish as part of the bonding preparation, so cleaning the glass with a regular spray alone does not replace the complete process.
At what speed does water start moving off?
GYEON lists a starting point around 50 km/h. Actual water movement depends on windscreen angle, rain conditions and airflow. Use the wipers whenever visibility requires them.
How is View EVO different from Glass+?
View EVO is a dedicated coating with preparation and curing requirements. Glass+ is a maintenance cleaner that adds temporary repellency. It is useful for routine care but does not replace the View installation process.
Can it be used on side windows?
Yes, on suitable exterior automotive glass. Side windows experience different wear from a windscreen, which is why the stated service-life figures differ.
How should I maintain coated glass?
Clean it regularly with a suitable glass cleaner and clean towels. Keep wiper blades in good condition, remove contamination gently and avoid abrasive cleaning that could wear away the coating.
Step one is Cleanse; it removes etched-on water spots and ensures the surface is crystal clean for Repel to bond onto. Do not use too much Cleanse, as it can be slightly difficult to remove if overused. GYEON Prep or Glass cleaner can be used to remove Cleanse.
Buff off cleanse.
Apply Repel in a circular motion. If you hear 'squeaking', that's a good sign; it means your window is 'squeaky' clean from Cleanse. After applying Repel, let it sit for about 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, don't wipe off Repel right away; apply a little bit more of Repel onto your applicator and apply the second layer on top of the first layer. Wait another 20 minutes, then wipe off.
All GYEON coatings can be applied outdoors. Ensure stable conditions, never use in direct sunlight and check the weather forecast!
Repel can be used on clear vinyl (motorcycle fairings), but do not use Cleanse. Simply clean the fairings with glass cleaner or Prep, and then only use Repel.

This depends on several factors. On the side and back windows, GYEON View lasts a very, very long time. The front windshield will last about a year, and more if maintained correctly with GYEON Glass+.
Cleanse is to be wiped off right away, whereas Repel can be left on the surface for about 20 minutes.
About 20 minutes. During layering, there's no need to wipe off the first layer; simply apply the second coat over the curing first.
