Surface preparation is absolutely crucial; never skip the process with Q²M GlassPolish, which should be regarded as both a cleaner and a bonding agent. The expected durability of Q² Repel EVO will never be achieved without the correct preparation.
TIP:I prefer using Q²M GlassPolish with a machine, employing a Q²M Polish Pad at low revs. Once a light film of residue is left, wipe it off with Q²M Prep. Avoid overapplication. Apply as much Q² Repel EVO as possible in a circular motion. Repeat the process to create a thicker layer, especially on the windscreen. Remove the residue with a damp cloth.

Step one is Cleanse; it removes etched-on water spots and ensures the surface is crystal clean for Repel to bond onto. Do not use too much Cleanse, as it can be slightly difficult to remove if overused. GYEON Prep or Glass cleaner can be used to remove Cleanse.
Buff off cleanse.
Apply Repel in a circular motion. If you hear 'squeaking', that's a good sign; it means your window is 'squeaky' clean from Cleanse. After applying Repel, let it sit for about 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, don't wipe off Repel right away; apply a little bit more of Repel onto your applicator and apply the second layer on top of the first layer. Wait another 20 minutes, then wipe off.
All GYEON coatings can be applied outdoors. Ensure stable conditions, never use in direct sunlight and check the weather forecast!
Repel can be used on clear vinyl (motorcycle fairings), but do not use Cleanse. Simply clean the fairings with glass cleaner or Prep, and then only use Repel.
The Step 1 Glass Polish has been improved in the user experience, it's now much easier to clean and polish before applying the coating.
Repel EVO is now 50% more durable and resistant to alcohols (heavy in winter washer fluids).
GYEON View FAQs
This depends on several factors. On the side and back windows, GYEON View lasts a very, very long time. The front windshield will last about a year, and more if maintained correctly with GYEON Glass+.
Cleanse is to be wiped off right away, whereas Repel can be left on the surface for about 20 minutes.
About 20 minutes. During layering, there's no need to wipe off the first layer; simply apply the second coat over the curing first.
20ml will be sufficient for all the windows on a mid-sized vehicle once or for three coats on the front windshield.
Yes, it is encouraged to do so.
At least 24 hours before expecting rain or using the wipers, and 12 hours will be sufficient during warmer seasons.
A temperature of at least 10°C is recommended, although you can still attempt the application between 5°C to 10°C if necessary. If the temperature reaches 30°C, then it's on the warmer side, and you will need to retreat into the shade.
Either maintain with GYEON Glass+ or Glass, preferably Glass+ because it adds another layer of hydrophobicity, and as frequently as you'd like.
You won't get high spots with Gyeon View; it buffs off easily when applied correctly.
Officially, Gyeon recommends the product to be used within 2 to 3 years when new. If the bottle has been opened, it's best to use up the product in 1 to 2 months to preserve the coating's maximum effectiveness.
