BEST PRACTICES & PRO-TIPS

Q² PPF EVO must be applied like a regular coating with a criss-cross motion. Ensure good preparation of the paint protection film using Q²M PPF RENEW, followed by Q²M PREP for optimal surface bonding.

TIP: Work with reflected light; it will make streaks or smudges more visible and help eliminate them over time. Use the Q²M Suede to perfect the finish.

PPF Maintain

PPF Maintain is made to keep films in tip top shape without yellowing and etching.

Q² PPF EVO has been designed to perform with all modern paint protection films, including coated and self-healing versions. It will enhance the color on both glossy and matte film without changing the finish.

The unique composition of Q² PPF EVO, featuring fluoro-modified polysilazanes, makes it the most durable and hydrophobic coating for PPF available. It remains very slick and easy to apply. It can be applied on both glossy or matte film, as well as on any vinyl wrap surface. It creates a slick, protective layer without compromising the self-healing abilities of the film.

Q² PPF has been designed to match & perform with all modern paint protection film structure & self-healing properties.

HARD & DURABLE

The unique chemical structure of Q² PPF makes it the hardest & coating for vinyl wrap & ppf on the market while being super slick & easy to apply.

Q² PPF is a flexible, one layer ceramic coating designed to protect `PPF and colour change wraps.

Application possible on all types of PPF. On used films, we highly recommend to prepare the film with Q²M PPF Renew.

Considering you've already done all the necessary prep work, applying GYEON PPF EVO is very easy. Simply apply a few drops onto your applicator and work in a 2x2' criss-cross motion. Let it set for about ~2 minutes, then wipe off the excess with one microfiber and follow it up with another wipe using another clean towel.

PPF EVO is designed to go onto grabby and porous film surfaces, making it very easy to remove. If you've used a paint coating on films before, you'll notice that films will absorb coatings at an uneven rate, making it difficult to buff off and will leave a haze.

All GYEON coatings can be applied outdoors. Ensure stable conditions, never use in direct sunlight and check the weather forecast!

Cut down cure time to ~1 minute before wiping off.

PPF EVO will not 'add gloss' to a matte finish; it will enhance the color and the matte look, making it richer. It will do the same for satin films as well and works on colored vinyl wraps.

GYEON PPF EVO FAQs

Around 2 years, or more if applied multiple layers and maintained well with PPF Wash and PPF Maintain.

No, but it will enhance the matte finish to a richer appearance, similar to applying lotion on dry hands. GYEON PPF EVO is fully matte film compatible.

Simply apply a few drops onto your applicator and work in a 2x2' criss-cross motion. Let it set for about ~2 minutes, then wipe off the excess with one microfiber and follow it up with another wipe using another clean towel.

Layering time is between 1 to 4 hours, and full curing occurs within 48 hours. You can take the vehicle out after 12 hours.

You'll use slightly more product than regular paint coatings because you want to apply more for the film to absorb into it as well. For a mid-sized sedan, you'll use around ~25 ml per coat; the 50ml bottle will be sufficient for you to do 2 layers.

The vehicle can be driven the next day, or approximately 12 hours later. It is advisable to avoid exposing the coating to water within the first 24 hours.

A temperature of at least 10°C is recommended, although you can still attempt the application between 5°C to 10°C if necessary. If the temperature reaches 30°C, then it's on the warmer side, and you will need to retreat into the shade.

Wash with GYEON PPF Wash; this is a decon-soap that is effective at removing contaminants without the need to use a clay bar (which can scratch your film). Top it with GYEON PPF Maintain to keep the water beading and prolong the coating's resistance to film yellowing.

High spots refer to dried coatings that were not completely buffed off. If you catch the high spots within 30 minutes, you can use the coating itself again to level/soften the high spots. If it's been a few days, then you'll need to mechanically polish it off with PPF Renew and reapply coating on the affected area.

Officially, Gyeon recommends the product to be used within 2 to 3 years when new. If the bottle has been opened, it's best to use up the product in 1 to 2 months to preserve the coating's maximum effectiveness.

No problem at all. Coatings contain a significant amount of solvents and exhibit high chemical stability. For more details regarding winter shipping, please refer to our FAQ section on winter shipping.

Make sure to use a little more product than regular paint coatings because films are much more porous than paint. You want enough product to be absorbed into the porous film as well and not only sit on top.

PPF EVO is a flexible coating that penetrates the film and will not affect the film's self-healing abilities. If your film already has a hydrophobic coating on it, it's encouraged for you to apply PPF EVO over it to prolong its OEM hydrophobic layer.
