CQUARTZ Aqua offers a water-based option for customers seeking a very-low-VOC exterior coating. Its hydrophobic finish helps water and contamination release during maintenance, while UV protection and chemical resistance support everyday vehicle care. It is intended for most exterior vehicle surfaces, with glass specifically excluded.
Preparation and Application
Follow the Aqua label for the exact installation method. The steps below are general preparation and handling guidance.
- Clean the intended surface thoroughly with products suitable for that material. Remove contamination and residue before starting the coating process.
- Check the Aqua instructions for compatibility with the specific finish and test an inconspicuous area where appropriate. Do not apply to glass.
- Use the supplied application directions for surface condition, product quantity, spreading and levelling. Do not assume that a water-based formula should be diluted or applied to a wet surface.
- Allow the coating to cure for the period specified by CARPRO and follow any restrictions on water exposure, washing or additional products.
Aftercare and Routine Maintenance
After the required curing period, maintain the coated finish with a suitable shampoo, clean wash media and gentle drying with clean microfiber. Regular washing remains important even with a hydrophobic, self-cleaning finish. Very low VOC does not mean VOC-free or remove the need to follow the label's handling, ventilation and protective-equipment instructions.
