3D Yellow Degreaser Wheel & Tire Cleaner 128oz

3D Yellow Degreaser is a concentrated, non-acid cleaner for compatible wheels, tires and wheel wells. It is particularly useful for loosening oily road grime, accumulated tire dressing and sidewall contamination before applying a fresh dressing.

Key benefits

  • Non-acid cleaning for compatible wheel-area surfaces.
  • Helps remove old dressing and sidewall residue.
  • Adjustable dilution for light to heavy cleaning.

Choosing and using this product

The product is intended for a broad range of wheel finishes, but the actual condition of the surface matters. Test delicate, uncoated, repaired or damaged finishes and follow their care instructions. Non-acid does not mean that dilution and contact time can be ignored.

Use a dedicated tire brush for rubber sidewalls and a softer tool for wheel faces. Once the old dressing and grime have been removed, rinse thoroughly and let the tire dry before applying new protection. Inspect whitewalls and raised lettering gently rather than trying to force the result through aggressive brushing.

Application details

Dilute product to water: 1:20 light duty, 1:10 medium duty or 1:4 heavy duty. Do not use straight. Rinse and cool the surface, apply the diluted cleaner, allow about 30 seconds to activate, agitate if needed and rinse before it dries.

How to use

  1. Confirm that the cleaner is suitable for your exact wheel finish and inspect for damaged clear coat, corrosion or other vulnerable areas. Let wheels and brakes cool fully before starting, then test a small hidden area.
  2. Prepare the specified dilution when using a concentrate. Rinse away loose grit and work on one wheel at a time so the product can be removed before it dries.
  3. Apply evenly to the intended wheel or tire surfaces while controlling overspray. Follow the product-specific contact time below; heat and airflow can shorten the time before the surface begins to dry.
  4. Agitate as needed with a soft wheel brush and a separate tire brush. Choose bristles that suit the finish, reach into spoke edges carefully, and avoid transferring tire grime to the wheel face.
  5. Rinse thoroughly, including lug recesses, spoke backs and the lower sidewall. Do not allow cleaner to dry on the wheel or tire. If residue remains, repeat a controlled treatment instead of extending the dwell indefinitely.
  6. Dry and inspect the wheel. Apply tire dressing only after the sidewalls are clean and dry, keeping dressing off the tread and braking components.

Aftercare and maintenance

Maintain wheels with regular cleaning before brake dust and road grime become heavily embedded. Use dedicated wheel towels and brushes, then rinse and dry them after the job. Reapply a suitable wheel protectant or tire dressing when needed. On coated wheels, follow the coating maker’s maintenance advice and use stronger cleaning only when the contamination requires it.

Frequently asked questions

Does a wheel cleaner replace an iron remover?

A wheel cleaner removes general dirt and oily residue. Embedded ferrous fallout may need a dedicated iron remover. Choose the process for the contamination rather than repeatedly applying stronger degreaser.

Can it be used on hot wheels?

Allow the wheel and brake assembly to cool. A hot surface can dry the product too quickly and makes it harder to control the application and rinse.

Practical detailing tips

Wheel finishes differ, including painted clear coats, plated surfaces and uncoated metals. Age, repairs and existing coating damage also change how a surface responds. A product intended for a broad range of wheels still benefits from a small test, especially on a refinished or unfamiliar set. Follow the wheel manufacturer’s care instructions where they are more restrictive.

After rinsing, inspect difficult recesses before drying. Residue trapped around the valve stem, lug nuts or spoke junctions can run back onto the wheel face later. Use a dedicated soft towel or suitable blower to remove remaining water, and keep any dressing application controlled around the tire sidewall.
