3D Instant Shine Aerosol Trim Dressing 12oz

3D Instant Shine is a silicone-based aerosol dressing for compatible plastic, vinyl and rubber trim. Its spray format is useful for intricate areas such as grilles where reaching every contour with an applicator can be time-consuming.

Key benefits

  • Aerosol dressing for hard-to-reach trim details.
  • Adds a rich, glossy appearance to compatible surfaces.
  • No-wipe application where the label allows.

Choosing and using this product

Clean the surface before spraying and keep the coat light. Protect neighbouring glass and paint from overspray, and remove accidental transfer promptly. Because the formula contains silicone, keep it separate from workflows that require silicone-free products, such as certain fresh-paint environments.

Application details

Use as supplied and follow the can’s spraying distance and handling directions. Apply a controlled mist to the intended trim and allow it to dry. Aerosol handling and ventilation requirements on the can remain important.

How to use

  1. Clean the intended rubber, plastic or vinyl surface thoroughly and remove old dressing residue. Rinse or wipe clean as appropriate, then allow it to dry.
  2. Work on a cool surface and test a small area to check the resulting sheen and colour. Use only on materials identified for this product.
  3. Apply a thin, even coat with a suitable applicator, or follow the product-specific spray method below. Control overspray near paint, glass and mechanical components.
  4. Work into texture and lettering without leaving heavy deposits. Wipe away excess where needed for an even appearance, and remove accidental transfer onto surrounding surfaces.
  5. Let the treated area dry before use or driving. Keep all dressing away from tire tread, brake parts, pedals, steering-wheel grips and other surfaces where traction is essential.
  6. Inspect for wet residue or uneven coverage. Add another light application only if the product instructions permit and the desired finish calls for it.

Aftercare and maintenance

Wash treated surfaces gently during regular maintenance and reassess the finish after cleaning. Remove accumulated road grime before applying fresh dressing. Keep applicators dedicated to dressing tasks, and clean them after use. Reapply when appearance or water behaviour indicates it is needed; weather, washing and surface condition affect how long a treatment remains visible.

Frequently asked questions

Will dressing repair cracked trim or tires?

It improves appearance and adds a surface treatment, but it does not repair structural damage. Inspect worn or cracked components separately from the cosmetic detailing process.

How can I reduce sling or excess shine?

Start with clean, dry material, apply a thin coat, remove surplus where directed and allow adequate drying. Heavy wet layers are harder to control and can transfer to nearby panels.
