Description

Carpro pH-neutral Shampoo

Ceramic coating safe

CarPro Reset was formulated as the perfect partner to nanotechnology based sealants and coatings, with cleaning properties tailored to their unique needs. Utilizing Intelligent pH Surfactants, Reset breaks down road grime and traffic films with the power of an alkaline cleaner, whilst being as gentle on the surface as a pH-neutral shampoo. Afterwards Reset quickly rinses free from the surface, leaving behind no soap residues or interfering silicones, and restoring the beading and dirt releasing properties (The ‘Hydrophobic Effect’) of the surface to help maintain its protection. Combined with excellent lubrication, a strong foaming action for improved dirt suspension, and a high dilution ratio, this makes for a highly effective and economical wash. At the same time, Reset is almost entirely based upon naturally occurring, organic ingredients, making it as safe for the environment and for the user as it is for the vehicle. If dirt is hiding the beauty of your car or motorcycle, then you know that it is time for a Reset!

Features & Specifications:

  • Developed for use with all CarPro Nanotechnology Sealants and Coatings including Reload, Hydro2, and CQuartz.*

  • Intelligent pH Surfactants provide a strong cleaning and foaming action, whilst remaining mild and pH-Neutral (7) in use.

  • Derived almost entirely from natural, organic and biodegradable ingredients; free from the harsh sodium and lauryl sulfate derivatives found in many shampoo products.

  • 400~500:1 Dilution ratio allows for economical cleaning.

  • Excellent gliding lubrication and a wonderful fresh scent make for a safe, and enjoyable wash experience.

Directions:

  1. Fill wash bucket with 3 to 4 gallons) of water and add approximtely 1 to 1.5 oz. of Reset as the bucket fills to mix the shampoo solution and activate the foam.

  2. Pre-rinse vehicle with free flowing water to remove loose debris, and wash out of direct sunlight from the top down using our CarPro Merino Wool Wash Mitt or Microfiber Madness Incredisponge, rinsing the mitt/sponge periodically in a second bucket filled with clear water.

  3. Do not allow shampoo to dry on the surface! After washing, rinse the vehicle thoroughly with free flowing water to remove shampoo residue, and dry with a Microfiber Madness drying towel or forced-air blower.

  4. If necessary, use CarPro Spotless to remove hard water spots, and apply either Reload or Hydro2 to top-up the vehicle’s protection.

Precautions:

  • Do Not Ingest

  • Keep out of reach of children

  • May degrade organic waxes and polymer sealants

  • In case of sensitive skin or a pre-existing skin condition, wear protective gloves whilst washing to avoid possible dryness and mild irritation

Q: Is this pH Neutral?

Yes, but you should still follow the dilution of approx 1:500. The dilution ratio yields an effective yet safe washing solution.

Q: Does it strip waxes, sealants, and ceramic coatings?

No, not if the dilution ratio is followed. Though pH neutral, too much soap will still strip waxes, sealants and may potentially affect your ceramic coating, it's a detergent after all.

Q: Is this biodegradable?

Carpro Reset is composed of natural active ingredients but has not officially been tested to be biodegradable or not. So we'll call it non-biodegradable for now.

Q: Can it be used with a foam cannon?

Yes, though not as foamy as a dedicated foaming soap like Carpro Lift , but you can still use it in a foam cannon, garden hose cannon, or hand pump foamer. The amount of foam is not necessarily dictated by the soap itself, the orifice size/pressure/GPM all play a significant role in the foaming action.

Q: How much do I add for foam cannon use?

Anywhere between 1:10 ~ 1:20. As stated above, your foam cannon orifice, pressure, GPM also dictates how wet or dry the foam will be, have a look at this video here .

Q: How much do I add for bucket wash?

Generally between 1:400 ~ 1:500.

Q: How much do I add to a hand foaming pump?

Around 1:10 ~ 1:20. Here's the catch, for the product to stay neutral, bucket wash suggests 1:500, but now you're mixing it 1:10~20. Though the mix ratio is the same as the foam cannon's mix ratio, but when attached to a pressure washer, it's actually diluting it down much more than 1:10~20 as water passes through.

So, either you're prepared to have some light striping action, or you should mix it down further than 1:20+. But going too far down won't produce enough foam. This is when you should use a dedicated foaming soap instead.

Q: Does it have other additives / gloss enhancers?

No, just good ol' ph neutral soap. Reset rinses off clean: what does mean is, there are some soaps in the market that has too much surfactants in it and takes multiple rinses to get it all off. For example, after washing with a heavy surfactant soap, while you're rinsing the soap off, all of a sudden your paint is not beading anymore, that's because the surfactants are masking it, so make sure to rinse off thoroughly.

Q: Is it safe on all exterior surfaces?

Yes, PPF, plastics, wheels, engine bay, etc.
