Plastic, Wheel and Brake Caliper Protection
CQUARTZ DLUX 2.0 brings hydrophobic protection to exterior plastics, wheels and brake calipers. Its lower-viscosity formula is designed to spread evenly, while the slicker finish and improved water-spot resistance support a regular exterior detailing routine. Careful preparation is especially important around textured trim, wheel spokes and recessed areas.
Preparation and Application
Use the following as general preparation guidance alongside the instructions supplied with DLUX 2.0.
- Start with cool surfaces. Clean away road grime, brake dust, old dressing and oily residue using products appropriate for the material and finish.
- Rinse away cleaning residue and allow the surface to dry. Check the product instructions for any additional preparation required.
- Apply methodically to the approved surface, following CARPRO's directions for the amount of coating and working area. Check edges, textured sections and recesses for excess product.
- Inspect the finish under good lighting and follow the DLUX 2.0 directions for residue removal and curing. Do not assume that every surface or condition permits a no-buff application.
Aftercare for Coated Trim and Wheels
Wait for the curing period specified by CARPRO before washing or exposing the coating to conditions restricted by the instructions. Thereafter, clean coated areas regularly with suitable wash products and clean, soft detailing tools. Rinse cleaners thoroughly and dry the surfaces rather than leaving wash water to evaporate. Improved water-spot resistance does not remove the need for routine cleaning and drying.
